Meadowcroft

This garden, designed for a recently retired couple, wraps around their home, blending practicality with elegance. Featuring a large dining area with an outdoor kitchen, it’s perfect for entertaining. A winding path through ornamental grasses leads to a sunlit seating area for morning coffee, overlooking a vibrant perennial border. A sunset-viewing spot includes a raised fire pit and barbecue for evening enjoyment. A large vegetable garden with an ornamental glasshouse supplies fresh produce year-round. At the center, a striking stone water feature complements a formal lawn, bordered by multi-stemmed Amelanchiers underplanted with year-round colour.

We couldn’t be happier with our new garden! Our mature garden was no longer suited to our lifestyle, as our children had grown up, and we wanted a space that truly reflected our needs. Michelle and her team have transformed it into a garden that encourages us to explore and enjoy its many beautiful views. Whether we’re sitting in the evening watching the sun go down or enjoying our morning coffee among the ornamental grasses, enjoying the early morning sun and our beautiful herbaceous beds.

We now use the entire garden, not just the space outside our kitchen doors. Each area has something unique to offer in every season. Even the front garden, with its bespoke stone-carved water feature and formal beds, is a delight throughout the year. Honestly, we hate to go away because we don’t want to miss anything magical happening in our garden. It has become a true haven.
